Toronto Raptors Sign Swingman To Contract
As one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the league, the Toronto Raptors are on the hunt for a perimeter shot-maker. They took a step in that direction today with their first 10-day contract signing of the year.
The Toronto Raptors are signing G League G/F Joe Wieskamp to a 10-day contract, his agents Kyle McAlarney and Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Wieskamp played 29 games with the Spurs a season ago.

6'6" wing Joe Wieskamp was a 2nd-round pick of the San Antonio Spurs in the 2021 NBA Draft. He played 29 games for them last season on a two-way, in very limited minutes. He was waived by the Spurs in October before the season opened.
The 23-year-old has been toiling away in the G League this season, and has posted some nice 3-point shooting numbers there, averaging over 38% on high volume, and 40.6% this season.
Wieskamp has basically delivered as advertised in 28 G League games, A good volume of 3s at a good percentage, strong offensive rebounding, not great defense but enough steal/block activity to be a non-zero. Shot poorly in NBA shot with Spurs but smaller sample.

The Raptors have been struggling, losers of seven of their last 10, and now in 12th spot in the East. It's likely that Wieskamp gets a chance to show what he's got.
