BREAKING: New Official Debut Date Set For Kevin Durant With Suns
It might have been wishful thinking hoping for this weekend for Kevin Durant to make his debut in a Phoenix Suns uniform. His return has now been officially announced, according to NBA Insider Shams Charania of The Athletic, for next Wednesday.
Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns are targeting his Suns debut and return to action in next Wednesday's road game against the Charlotte Hornets, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Durant is on cusp of return from MCL sprain that he suffered on Jan. 8.

The Suns play on the road against the Charlotte Hornets next Wednesday. He'll miss two more games in the interim.
Durant suffered an MCL sprain over six weeks ago while with the Brooklyn Nets. Of course, a lot has changed since then.
KD quietly (this time) asked for a trade, and only the Suns were given the opportunity to strike a deal. New owner Mat Ishbia, just hours after officially taking over the reins, gave his blessing to the blockbuster deal to bring Durant to Phoenix at the trade deadline.
Durant will form a formidable lineup in the Valley of the Suns, lining up with Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton.
The Suns currently sit in 5th spot in the West, at 32-28, and become one of the favorites to come out of the conference with the addition of KD.
