Portland Trail Blazers' Anfernee Simons Injures Ankle
The Portland Trail Blazers may be without one of their top scorers for a little while. Anfernee Simons exited after 26 minutes of last night's 126-101 loss to the Washington Wizards with an ankle injury and did not return.

Simons appeared unable to put any weight on his leg and was helped off the court in the waning seconds of the third quarter. He hit six of his 15 field goal attempts for 17 points before his exit.
As unfortunate as the injury is, it comes at a good time for The Trail Blazers; they don't play again until a February 23rd matchup against the Sacramento Kings due to the NBA All Star break. Simons ranks second on the team with 21.4 points per game, and they'll need him in tip-top shape if they intend to push for the playoffs over the closing stretch of the season. They're 28-30 and 11th in the Western Conference, which puts them one spot out of the play-in tournament.
