Trade: Knicks & Trail Blazers Swing Deal; Cam Reddish Is Free At Last

After sitting in coach Tom Thibodeau's doghouse for over two months, Cam Reddish has finally been set free—traded by the New York Knicks along with a protected future first-round pick, in return for a six-year veteran wing.

Reddish is on his way to the Pacific Northwest, joining the Portland Trail Blazers, while the Knicks receive one of the trade deadline’s hottest names, Josh Hart.

New York got the job done ahead of other Hart suitors that included the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.

The 6'5" Hart is averaging 9.5 points and 8.2 rebounds, after averaging 14.9 points last season, with 7.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists.

Reddish, 23, a former lottery pick, has received 33 consecutive DNP-CDs this season. He was acquired by the Knicks just over a year ago, but hasn't been able to crack coach Thibodeau's rotation, to say the least. Hart, a more proven player at age 27, should have better luck in that department.
