Westbrook's Wife Rips Media For 'Vampire' Comment
When the Russell Westbrook era with the Los Angeles Lakers mercifully came to an end yesterday with his trade to Utah, one media member said he heard that Russ's exit was akin to the removal of a "vampire" from the room.
“As one source told me, ‘you remove a vampire from the locker room’.”

“As one source told me, when ‘you remove a vampire from the locker room’—meaning that vampire sucks the blood out of the locker room," said ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Westbrook's wife, not surprisingly, has taken issue with that comment, and has blasted McMenamin and the media:
"I have school aged children who have to listen to their peers repeat the nasty things that you guys say on television about their father. I guess I will prepare myself to explain to my 5 year old that his dad is not actually a vampire."

Let's face it, getting Westbrook out of LA (well, at least off the Lakers, as his next destination could still be the Clippers), is a good thing for all involved.
