Knicks Sign G League Star to 10-Day Contract

The New York Knicks are establishing themselves as a true contender in the Eastern Conference, now on a 9-game win streak and up to 5th place. But they're still tinkering around the edges, converting DaQuan Jeffries to a 10-day NBA contract.

Jeffries had a big fan in Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau during training camp back in the fall, likely a big factor in him landing a two-way contract at the time.

The 6'5" guard went down to the G League's Westchester Knicks, and has been having a strong season, averaging 20.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 20 games.

He went undrafted out of Tulsa in 2019, and has since spent a bit of time in the past three NBA seasons with the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies. He's compiled a 3.8 points per game average in a total of 47 games, at about 13 minutes of PT per contest.

He has yet to appear in an NBA game this season, and will actually start his new 10-day pact with an assignment to Westchester once again. The new pact, however, being an NBA deal, gets him a little more cash in his pocket.
