It's a two-year, two-way for Jay Scrubb, taking him through the rest of this season, and next. He played with the Los Angeles Clippers the previous two seasons, averaging 3.8 points and 39 percent shooting, but hasn't seen any NBA action yet in 2022-23.
The Magic have had an eye on the 21-year-old, however, as he's been toiling with their G League affiliate, the Lakeland Magic.
Scrubb played 22 games for Lakeland, where he was their leading scorer, averaging 22.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists. The 6'5" shooting guard was the 55th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets, but dealt to the Clippers a day later.
