Minnesota Timberwolves Rising Star Makes Bold Claim
While the Minnesota Timberwolves haven't quite lived up to the pre-season hype thus far in 2022/23, they've certainly been a solid team, and boast a great young core that will lead them into the future, and it's safe to say that individually and as a team, no one on the squad is lacking for confidence.
One player that may go under the radar for the wider NBA audience is Jaden McDaniels, who is one of the fastest rising stars in the league with some great two way ability, and in an interview, he has made a very, very bold claim early in his career.
McDaniels claimed that he is the best defender in the NBA, with Jamal Murray apparently telling him to "stop blocking my jumpers", and while he may not be the best defender in the league yet, he is just 22 years of age and has plenty of time to grow into his obvious physical and mental gifts.Timberwolves rising two-way standout Jaden McDaniels sits down with @Stadium: “I do believe I’m the best defender in the NBA.” On his All-Defensive team desires, trying to stop NBA’s best, Jamal Murray saying “stop blocking my jumpers”, entering league with Anthony Edwards, more. pic.twitter.com/aN3kHX7SNr
