Minnesota Timberwolves Star Could Return To The Court As Early As Wednesday

The Minnesota Timberwolves picked up a massive win at Madison Square Garden on Monday, as they pursue a playoff spot in a very close Western Conference, and now, it appears that the good news keeps coming.

On top of star center Karl-Anthony Towns, the team could shockingly get young superstar Anthony Edwards back as early as Wednesday according to Shams Charania, despite him being in a walking boot this past weekend, and after playing every game this season until Saturday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors, this is the best news possible.

There is optimism that Minnesota Timberwolves stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards (ankle) could return as soon as Wednesday vs. Atlanta Hawks, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Towns, sidelined since Nov. 28 with Grade 3 calf strain, is on the cusp of a major return.

This isn't set in stone yet, as he could have a setback in his return from injury, but given the toughness and mental fortitude he's shown in his young career thus far, there's no reason to doubt that he'll be back very, very soon.
