New York Knicks Sign Swingman To Multi-Year Deal

Sometimes, you just know. In the case of the New York Knicks, despite not having used shooting guard DaQuan Jeffries for a single minute of play, they've decided to sign the 6'5" three-year veteran to a multi-year deal.

There's no word on the terms of the agreement. Jeffries has just completed two 10-day contracts with the Knicks, which means they would have to either waive him or sign him to a full standard contract. They've chosen the latter, and more.

The 25-year-old has spent all his time this season with the team's G League affiliate in Westchester. And he has shown out there, averaging 20.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists, while shooting 38.7% from three-point range in 22 games.

With Westchester's season now over, however, Jeffries will be on the Knicks' bench for the stretch run, though highly unlikely to crack coach Tom Thibodeau's rotation.

Jeffries has played a total of 47 NBA games over three seasons with the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies after going undrafted out of Oral Roberts in 2019. He's averaging 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds in 13.7 minutes.
