2023 NBA Most Improved Player Announced
The 2022/23 NBA season has seen some very close votes for their year end award, but perhaps none were hotter contested than the Most Improved Player award, but at the end of the day, it appears that the favourite has come away victorious.
Despite incredibly strong seasons from both Jalen Brunson and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, it is the Utah Jazz's Lauri Markkanen who has won the award following a trade that sent him to Utah to become the teams No. 1 offensive threat.
In 2023, Markkanen improved from 14.8 PPG to 25.6, 5.7 RPG to 8.6 and carried a young, inexperienced Jazz team to a solid campaign, and if they can get some help this off-season with all of their picks, this could be a team to watch in the future. Now however, this was a much deserved award for the Finnish star.BREAKING: Lauri Markkanen has been named the 2023 NBA Most Improved Player.
