Portland Trail Blazers Star Gives His Pick For 2023 MVP

The 2022/23 NBA season has been one of the best in recent memory, with fun teams and great individual performances throughout the league, but no two players have put on better performances than Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid, the two front runners for this years MVP.

Over the past few weeks, we've seen everyone in the NBA world weight in on what is one of the closest races in recent memory, and on Friday, Blazers point guard Damian Lillard gave his take, picking the Philadelphia 76ers star to win his first career MVP award. 

Dame is picking Embiid over Jokic for MVP:

“I think because he’s been the most dominant player, you can’t continue to give it to a guy who’s won it twice in a row.”

At this point, it appears that there's no wrong answer to this question, but the logic of Dame's "you can't give it to a guy who's won it twice in a row" is quite silly, as Jokic is just as deserving as Embiid, so at this point, it's now purely up to the voters.
