Toronto Raptors To Interview Surprise Candidate For Vacant Head Coach Role
For the second time in the past six years, the Toronto Raptors have fired a former Coach of the Year, this time in the form of Nick Nurse, and now, it appears that they've got their eyes on many different names to fill the role in 2023/24.
While they've been linked to the likes of Kenny Atkinson, the team have now officially received permission to talk to former San Antonio Spurs assistant Becky Hammon, who was last seen coaching the Las Vegas Aces to a WNBA Championship.
Whether or not the Raptors would officially hire Hammon as their Head Coach is up for debate, but she's regarded as a fantastic basketball mind, and at the very least, it makes sense that they would at least look into the possibility.REPORT: The Raptors were granted permission to speak to Becky Hammon, via @wojespn.
