Young Los Angeles Lakers Player Considering Dunk Contest In 2024 All-Star Game
Over the past few years, the NBA Dunk Contest at the All-Star game has gone from one of the most popular events to an afterthought, and one of the biggest reasons for this is the lack of star power in the event, which doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.
It appears that some players are still thinking of the even however, as Lakers bench player Lonnie Walker has now revealed he is highly considering appearing in the event in 2024, and while it may not be star power, it's good to see that some players are still keeping an eye on the event.
The event has unfortunately been going downhill for a number of years now, but in 2023, it hit an all-time low, with players clearly struggling to find new, creative dunks, but if the format can be tweaked and players buy in, it could once again become a must-see event.Lonnie Walker IV is “highly considering” participating in the NBA Dunk Contest next season.
