NBA Rumors: Dallas Mavericks Won't Entertain Sign-And-Trade With Star Guard
The Dallas Mavericks disappointed in a big way in 2023, missing the playoffs despite the star guard duo of Luka Doncic and the newcomer Kyrie Irving, and now, the latter has become a free agent, and his decision could have massive ramifications on the entire league this off-season.
With reports of many teams around the league being interested in Irving, the thought of a sign-and-trade has been brought up several times, but according to The Athletic, Dallas have no intentions of helping facilitate that.
While it could get them an asset back, it makes sense for Dallas not to go this route, as they reportedly want him back in a big way, and if they can get Kyrie back while adding another piece or two for depth, this could be a very dangerous team in 2023/24.The Dallas Mavericks are not planning to help Kyrie Irving in a potential sign-and-trade, per @TheAthletic
