NBA Rumors: Young New York Knicks Star Expected To Get A Big Contract This Off-Season
The New York Knicks took a massive step forward in 2023, going much farther than many people around the league expected, and while his playoff performance wasn't the best, one of the biggest reasons for that during the regular season was NBA Sixth Man of the Year candidate Immanuel Quickley.
The second of New York's two 2020 First-Round draft picks, Quickley showed promise in his rookie season, and over the past two years, he's put together some great campaigns, with 2022/23 being his best as he averaged a career high 14.9 points, 3.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game, primarily off the bench.
Now, it appears he's going to get paid in a big way, as many around the NBA believe the 'floor' for his next contract would be 4-years, $80 million, with some expecting the Knicks to potentially shell out $100 million over four-years, and for such a dynamic bench scorer who plays great defence, it may certainly be worth it.Report: Folks around NBA think ‘floor’ for new Immanuel Quickley contract is 4-year deal worth $80M https://t.co/YrVWodUv9B
