Report: NBA Looking To Make Significant Change To The All-Star Game
Once upon a time, the NBA All-Star Game was one of the biggest and most entertaining events on the sporting calendar, but in recent years, the quality of events and effort levels put forth by the players has been less than stellar, resulting in several changes to not only the game, but the weekend itself.
Now, it appears the NBA is ready to make yet another change, as they have reportedly considering changing the All-Star Game back to the East vs. West format that we saw for decades, rather than the captains picking teams that we've seen in recent years.
At this point, unless the players are willing to give more effort than they are now, it's unlikely that any change can make a true difference to the All-Star Game, but if the NBA believes this helps, expect them to make the move ahead of the 2023/24 season.NBA is considering changing the All-Star Game format back to East vs. West starting in the 2023-24 season, per @ShamsCharania pic.twitter.com/wvzrnsdlwC
