Sacramento Kings Prospect To Come To NBA 6 Years After Being Drafted
It was back in 2017 when the Sacramento Kings drafted him. Now, coming off an MVP-like season with the EuroLeague champions, 27-year-old forward Sasha Vezenkov is finally ready to make the move to the NBA.
The Kings drafted Vezenkov with the No. 57 pick (second round) back in '17, knowing he wouldn't be coming to the NBA right away. But they've been "stashing" him all these years, figuring it was worth the wait.
Now, according to NBA Insider Marc Stein, a deal to bring him State-side is "inevitable."
It's easy to see how Sasha Vezenkov's offensive skillset would fit in Sacramento's schemes.

Vezenkov, a 6'9" forward, averaged 17.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game with Olympiacos, on tremendous shooting splits of 54.6% from the field, 39.8% from the three-point line, and over 85% from the charity stripe in 33 EuroLeague games. This was his 5th season with the Greek club, helping them to the EuroLeague championship.
He has a buyout clause after this season that allows him to move to the NBA.
The Kings will be getting a great shooter to add to their already-impressive offensive mix.
