Top 3 Betting Favorites To Land Jaylen Brown In Trade
Rumors continue to swirl around what might happen with Jaylen Brown in Boston. With one year left until free agency, he's eligible for the supermax extension thanks to his All-NBA Second Team selection. But Boston is the only team that can offer him the projected 5-year, $295M max deal.
If the Celtics were to, let's say, trade Brown to another team (either at his request or their own), that new team would only be able to pay him for 4 years, $184.5M. That sounds like 110 million reasons to stay in Boston.
But Brown has hinted on numerous occasions this season that there's some discontent on his part with the city of Boston and his role in the Celtics organization.
There's no absolute certainty at this point which way Brown and the Celtics will go on this, and with that in mind, oddsmakers have already laid odds on the favorites to land Brown in a potential trade this summer.

Turns out his hometown team, the Atlanta Hawks, are the favorites to be his landing spot, at 2-1, according to @betonline_ag.
And there are reasons other than his place of birth that might have swung the odds: Brown recently followed several Atlanta Hawks players on social media.
Has Jaylen Brown always followed our players or is this recent? 🤔

Trae Young, John Collins and Dejounte Murray are among Brown's follows these days.
For what it's worth, the Milwaukee Bucks are the second-favorite to land the Celtics' All-Star, at 3-1, while the Golden State Warriors sit third in the odds at 4-1. No word on if he's following any Warriors or Bucks on Twitter, but some sleuths are probably checking it out right now.
