BREAKING: Veteran Point Guard Headed Back To the Western Conference
After the move that sent veteran point guard Chris Paul to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Bradley Beal, it was seemingly just a matter of time until he was moved to a contender, and now, the move has been agreed upon, with CP3 officially heading to the Golden State Warriors.
In exchange, the Wizards will land much maligned Jordan Poole, along with first round picks in both 2027 and 2030, and with this, it signifies that the Warriors have belief that they can once again compete for an NBA Championship in 2023-24 with Paul leading the way off the bench.
As for Poole, the belief has been that his inconsistencies have held him back from becoming a star in Golden State, and now, he will get a much bigger role on a rebuilding Wizards squad that have no clear lineup set in place for 2023-24, so this appears to be a fantastic deal for both teams.ESPN Sources: The Washington Wizards are finalizing a deal to send Chris Paul to the Golden State Warriors for a package that includes Jordan Poole and future draft assets. pic.twitter.com/kpNkhqFicp
