NBA Rumors: Phoenix Suns Now Unlikely To Move Former Top Pick

 

The NBA off-season has swung into gear very quickly, with several massive moves and the NBA Draft stealing headlines over the past week, and after the Phoenix Suns landed Bradley Beal, they were expected to make some more moves ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

One of those rumoured moves was to move much maligned centre DeAndre Ayton, who has struggled to become the dominant force that Phoenix expected when he was picked at No. 1 in the 2018 NBA Draft over the likes of Luka Doncic and Trae Young, but now, they could have potentially changed their mind.

In 2022-23, Ayton averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds a game, but unfortunately, he's struggled to take over games and be the force that the team hoped for, but now with the trio of Beal-Durant-Booker, it appears they're trusting him to take that leap under Frank Vogel.
