3 Best Destinations For Bol Bol in Free Agency
The Orlando Magic surprised the basketball world on Tuesday by waiving the unique 7'2" talent Bol Bol. Certainly one of the most intriguing players in the NBA, Bol had some of the most fun highlight reel plays of the season, and is sort of a poor man's version of what we all expect Victor Wembanyama to be.
With that in mind, let's have a look at the three best potential destinations for Bol on the free agent market.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thin Towers won't be enough to stop the alien in San Antonio.

⚡️ Chet Holmgren is 7'1" and 208 pounds.
⚡️ Aleksej Pokusevski is 7'0" and 210 pounds.
⚡️ Bol Bol is 7'2" and 220 pounds.

Call it the "Thin Towers" or the "Twig Three", but a union of the 7'2" Bol Bol with 7'1" Chet Holmgren and 7'0" Aleksej Pokusevski would be one of the greatest sights ever in NBA history. That's over 21 feet of height, but just over 600 pounds of weight. It would be must-see TV and an experiment for the ages. This is one we have to pull for.
Toronto Raptors
Masai Ujiri, of course, has long made his affinity for African-born talent known (currently with Pascal Siakam, Precious Achiuwa and Christian Koloko on the roster, previously with the likes of Serge Ibaka and Bismack Biyombo). It would be an ideal fit for Masai to give Bol a chance to reach new heights (so to speak). And besides, despite the re-signing of Jakob Poeltl, the Raptors could use some extra rim protection—and excitement—off the bench).
Dallas Mavericks
According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, the Magic and Mavericks discussed a trade involving Bol Bol around the time of the draft last month, so they are clearly interested. The Mavs have plenty of playmaking and scoring in the backcourt, but they need to upgrade their defense and their frontcourt significantly, and having a 7'2" rim protector who can also bring other exciting abilities to the floor would be a win for Mark Cuban.
