New York Knicks Veteran Speaks Out After Benching In 2022-23
The New York Knicks had their best season in a decade last year, and with the infusion of young talent alongside Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle, this team looks like it has a very promising future, but apparently, not everyone on the team was happy with their role.
Veteran sharpshooter Evan Fournier found himself riding the bench after a poor start to the season, and when the Knicks when on their run to the playoffs, he didn't get that spot back, and now, he's not holding back when talking about the 2022-23 season.
This is understandable from both sides, as Fournier's defensive deficiencies didn't fit well with the Tom Thibodeau system, while young guard Quentin Grimes files that role perfectly, but to not communicate with a veteran like this is a fault of the coach and the team, so at this point, it appears that the two sides are headed for a split in the coming weeks.Evan Fournier didn’t hold back when discussing how his role with the Knicks diminished 😬
