Report: Houston Rockets First Round Pick Wins Summer League MVP
Last season, the Houston Rockets were one of the worst teams in the NBA, but with a young core that includes the likes of Jalen Green, Alperin Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr., and this off-season has seen them add plenty more talent to the group.
With veterans like Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks, the team are looking to be much more competitive in 2023-24, but it's their draft class that's drawing plenty of attention, with Amen Thompson expected to be a huge part of the field.
It was No. 20 overall pick Cam Whitmore that stole the show at NBA Summer League however, as the former Villanova forward dominated with 20.4 PPG, 5.6 RPG and 3.0 SPG, and while the jump to the NBA is another level entirely, this is more great news for a young, ascending team.CAM WHITMORE
