Report: New York Knicks And Indiana Pacers Make A Trade
The New York Knicks made some massive strides this past season when they pushed the Miami Heat to six games in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, and with a group of young, hungry players, this is a team to keep an eye on for years to come.
Unfortunately for Obi Toppin however, Head Coach Tom Thibodeau never quite gave him the opportunity that he feels he earned, and unsurprisingly, he is now on the way out, as the team have agreed to send him to the Indiana Pacers for multiple second-round draft picks.
The numbers won't pop off the stat sheet for a former lottery pick, but Toppin has plenty of athleticism to go along with a great attitude and unlimited potential, and if he's given the chance to shine in Indiana, he could blossom into a star.Knicks are finalizing trade to send F Obi Toppin to the Pacers for two future second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. Deal gives Toppin an opportunity to play a more significant role in Indiana and stacks up more draft assets for New York. Deal can’t be completed until Thursday. pic.twitter.com/suJPu8dXyM
