Report: New York Knicks To Give Young Guard Big Time Extension
The New York Knicks took a big step forward in 2022-23 on the back of Jalen Brunson, a bounce back year from Julius Randle and promising performances from their young core, but it was the arrival of Josh Hart that seemed to change everything for this team.
This off-season, Hart was set to become a free agent, but returned to the team on a short deal, with many believing a long-term contract was right around the corner, and now it has been confirmed the team are handing him a four-year, $75 million deal, which will reportedly be delivered sometime in August.
As for Sixth Man of the Year finalist Immanuel Quickley, it appears he's looking for a bigger deal from New York, but given what Hart meant to this team on and off the court down the stretch, this is a more than fair deal for both teams, and will allow New York to continue their growth.Josh Hart’s extension with the Knicks could reach $75M over 4 years, per @SBondyNYDN
