Former Celtic Sends Warning to His Ex-Team For Coming Season

Larry Bird was his idol. His childhood dream was to play for the Boston Celtics. Finally, last summer, he became a Celtic, but due to a season-ending knee injury suffered overseas, veteran sharpshooter Danilo Gallinari never got a chance to suit up in the Lucky Leprechaun green and live his dream. He then was unceremoniously dumped this offseason in a three-team deal that brought Kristaps Porzingis to Boston.

Now with the Washington Wizards, and hopefully ready to return to action this coming season, Gallinari is champing at the bit, looking to exact some revenge against the team that wasn't willing to wait for him to recover from his unfortunate injury.

"I'm loaded up... Can't wait to play against Boston. When the schedule will be unveiled, I'll put an X on all the games we will play at Boston against the Celtics," Gallinari told an Italian basketball outlet

The 13-year veteran, turning 35 this month, has averaged 15.6 PPG in a stellar NBA career, with 4.8 rebounds and an elite 38.2% mark from three-point range. He'll be looking to rain down plenty of those long-range bombs on Beantown this coming season.
