Report: Boston Celtics Star Dealing With Foot Injury, Could Miss FIBA World Cup
The Boston Celtics were one step from a return to the NBA Finals again in 2022-23, and this summer has been spent re-tooling the team, with the biggest move being the trade to land star big man Kristaps Porzingis from the Washington Wizards.
Ahead of the most important season of his career, Porzingis was set to take part in the upcoming FIBA World Cup with team Latvia, but unfortunately, it has now been reported that he's dealing with a foot injury that could force him to miss the event.
Porzingis was impressive again in 2022-23, putting together a career high 23.2 PPG along with 8.4 RPG and 2.7 APG in 65 games played, so now the Celtics will be praying he can be healthy again as the 2023-24 season approaches.Kristaps Porzingis is reportedly dealing with a foot issue and may miss the World Cup, per @rupertfabig pic.twitter.com/zFnL29V7qx
