Warriors Sign Big Rebounding Center

The Golden State Warriors have added a board man to their training camp mix, signing the G League's leading rebounder from last season, as revealed by NBA Insider Shams Charania.

Jayce Johnson has been signed to an Exhibit 10 deal for camp with the Dubs.

The 7-footer hit the glass to the tune of a whopping 13.5 rebounds per game in just 25 minutes of court time for the Santa Cruz Warriors last year, while adding 1.3 blocks and 9.4 points in 32 regular season G League games.

His season was highlighted by a 19-point, 22-board effort in February.

In Summer League at Vegas, and at the California Classic event, he averaged 5.6 points and 6.8 rebounds.

The 26-year-old center went undrafted out of Marquette in 2020, and spent the 2020-21 season overseas, but didn't suit up in any pro league in 2021-22.

He'll try to break camp with the Warriors in October, but if not, if he returns to Santa Cruz, due to the Exhibit 10 he signed, he'll be eligible for a bonus of up to $75K if he spends  at least 60 days with the G League club.
