3 Potential Landing Spots For Jrue Holiday

Now that the Portland Trail Blazers have pulled off the Damian Lillard trade — a 3-team blockbuster — their next order of business is apparently to turn around and deal newly-acquired 5-time All-Defensive Team member Jrue Holiday — "immediately."

Received in the trade package from the Bucks, at 33 years old, Holiday doesn't quite fit the timeline of the Blazers' new young nucleus of Scoot Henderson, Anfernee Simons and Deandre Ayton.

Here are the top 3 teams that are already said to be hot in pursuit of a trade for Holiday:

Miami Heat

If at first you don't succeed.... The Heat weren't able to come to terms with Portland on one point guard, but maybe they'll be able to do so on Holiday. His defensive mentality certainly fits the so-called Heat "culture."

Philadelphia 76ers

Sixers insider Kyle Neubeck has already indicated that the Sixers will look to beef up their defensive presence by trying to swing a deal for Holiday. Obviously, the Blazers have no use for James Harden, who wants out of Philly, but maybe another 3-team trade is in the offing? The Sixers certainly have other assets they could dangle, but aside from Tyrese Maxey, who seems to be untouchable, seemingly not many assets that would fit the Blazers' youth movement.

Boston Celtics

After trading former Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart out of their backcourt, Holiday would be a perfect replacement for the contending Celts. They've begun addressing that side of the ball already late this offseason, recently signing a solid defensive wing. Could Holiday be another big addition for Boston?
