Another Eastern Conference Contender Linked To Damian Lillard

 

After a quiet few weeks, it appears the Damian Lillard sweepstakes are heating up, and while the Miami Heat are still considered his favoured destination, a few more teams in the Eastern Conference have emerged as potential destinations in the past few weeks.

After the Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls both reportedly joined the race, it's now been reported that the Philadelphia 76ers have been in discussion with the Blazers for a Dame trade over the past few weeks, as they aim to pair him with Joel Embiid. 

The Sixers contacted the Blazers to discuss a Damian Lillard trade, per @KyleNeubeck

Nothing official is imminent, as the Lillard camp is still set on Miami, but if the Sixers are willing to include some of their top assets, it's a move that could make sense for both parties, so keep an eye on the 2023 MVP Joel Embiid and the 76ers.
