Blockbuster 3-Team Trade Sends Damian Lillard Out East
A major bombshell in the NBA as the Portland Trail Blazers have finally traded Damian Lillard in a blockbuster 3-team deal. But it's a surprise team that has swooped in to claim the superstar guard, the Milwaukee Bucks, landing themselves squarely in the championship discussion.
Lillard goes Milwaukee as part of a 3-team deal with Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, a 2029 unprotected MIL 1st, and unprotected MIL swap rights in 2028 and 2030 to Blazers. Phoenix lands Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson. https://t.co/Ge0H91AiIA

It's a 3-way deal that breaks down as follows:
To Milwaukee:
- Damian Lillard
To Portland:
- Jrue Holiday
- Deandre Ayton
- Toumani Camar
- 2029 1st Rounder, unprotected
To Phoenix:
- Jusuk Nurkic
- Grayson Allen
- Nassir Little
- Keon Johnson
The ramifications are huge all around, but with Giannis Antetokounmpo teamed up with Lillard and Khris Middleton, the Bucks are eyeing another championship.
For Portland, they land a former No. 1 overall pick in Ayton, who's been unhappy in Phoenix for a couple of years, along with defensive stalwart Holiday. It's expected that Jrue will be moved to another team.
Phoenix adds some shooting in Allen, and rids themselves of their longstanding Ayton headache, bringing in another solid center in Nurkic.
After all the talk about the Toronto Raptors being the frontrunners to land Lillard, it seems like they were just a smokescreen.
