Indiana Pacers Sign Former NBA Champion

The Indiana Pacers have added a big man to their roster for camp, and a former NBA champion, at that. Admittedly, that ring came back in 2018, and since then, former Golden State Warrior Jordan Bell hasn't seen much run in the league. The Pacers, however, clearly feel he has some value to the franchise.

It's an Exhibit 10 deal for Bell, which means that he'll earn $75,000 even if he’s waived by the Pacers and then spends at least 60 days with the team's G League affiliate.

And as noted by NBA Insider Michael Scotto, Bell, at the very least, will be "a veteran leader" for the G League's Mad Ants.

Bell was the No. 38 pick in the 2017 Draft by the Chicago Bulls, but spent the first two years of his career with the Dubs, including winning a championship ring in his rookie year. It would turn out to be his high-point in the league, as his numbers from that season are still tops in his five-year career. He averaged 4.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.0 block per game in 14 minutes for the Warriors that season, and hasn't been able to reach any of those marks with four other teams since then.

He spent last season playing in China when an NBA opportunity didn't come around, and posted a nice line with the Guangzhou Loong Lions, averaging 10.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks in 44 games.
