NBA Rumors: Eastern Conference Team Interested In Damian Lillard

 

The NBA summer has been full of rumours and speculation, and while the Miami Heat have been the leader to land Damian Lillard for months now, it appears that other teams could now be entering the fray, with one Eastern Conference team considered a genuine threat to land him.

Despite the Heat being the main contender to land him, a recent report has now revealed that the Toronto Raptors are a genuine threat, with many people around the league knowing that the Raptors are lurking, and could land the superstar point guard.

The Raptors have shown interest in Damian Lillard, per @HPbasketball

“That's the thing nobody's really saying, but everyone around the league kinda knows that the Raptors are amongst the teams."

With Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam and other young talents, if they can pair them with Lillard ahead of the 2023-24 season, there's a chance they could be a genuine playoff team in the East, but at this point in time, it appears the Heat remain the favourite for the All-NBA guard.
