NBA Rumors: Joel Embiid Now Has Deadline To Decide On His National Allegiance
After some very injury riddled campaigns, Joel Embiid has put it all together over the past few seasons, winning his first career MVP in 2022-23, and while he's got no NBA free agency decisions to make anytime soon, he does have one choice to make very soon.
According to a recent report, the French national team has now officially given Embiid a deadline of October 10 to make his allegiance known ahead of the 2024 Olympics, with both Team USA and Cameroon in the mix as well.
Whichever team Embiid joins could become a powerhouse, with Team USA and France already stacked full of talent, and with Pascal Siakam leading the way for Team Cameroon, a front court pairing with Embiid could make them a genuine threat, so this will be a decision to keep an eye on.France has set a Oct. 10th deadline for Joel Embiid to choose which national team he’ll represent in 2024 Paris Olympics, per @StephenTimeRMC.
