The deal is fully guaranteed for the 22-year-old, who's going into his 4th season. He's improved his numbers across the board through his first three years with the Wiz, finishing last season with averages of 9.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 26.6 minutes per night.
Avdija was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Wizards, and has slowly built up his usage and contributions to the team's rotation.

In their final exhibition game on Friday, he led the team in scoring with 18 points.
“I thought he was aggressive," said head coach Wes Unseld Jr. "[He needs to] cut down a little bit on the turnovers, but I thought he had a good offensive night playing downhill a little bit,” Unseld said.
Teams have until Monday to sign those eligible for rookie extensions.
