New York Knicks Exercise Team Option On Budding Young Star
The New York Knicks have become a genuine threat in the Eastern conference over the last few years on the back of their young names like Immanuel Quickley, Mitchell Robinson and R.J. Barrett, and with this core they hope to make a deep playoff run.
One overlooked piece from this talented young team is shooting guard Quentin Grimes, who's become a key cog for this young team in a starting role, averaging 11 points a game on 39% shooting from beyond the arc a season ago, and it's clear they don't want to lose him.
On Thursday, it was confirmed that the Knicks have now exercised their team option on the 23-year old, making him eligible for a rookie scale extension next summer, and if he can continue to improve, this team could be very dangerous down the stretch this season.
