Pelicans "Not Sold" On Zion Williamson; 1 Big Name Team Registered Interest

Zion Williamson certainly has the ability to be a superstar in the NBA. But it's his AVAILability that's in question. He's missed 188 of a possible 302 games in his four years in the league. Are the New Orleans Pelicans getting tired of waiting for Zion?

According to a report out of New York, they're "not sold" on him any longer, and the New York Knicks, apparently sensing something, reached out this summer to see about Williamson's availability in a trade.

"New Orleans is still not sold on Zion Williamson," said Knicks beat writer Marc Berman. "Obviously there's a risk there, all eyes on him this season. I was told the Knicks checked in over the offseason about Zion. That could be a possibility..."

As the Knicks are desperate to land that big superstar, they're "in" on every one that is even rumored to be available. But Berman questions whether Zion is the answer, citing the extreme highs and lows of going for Williamson.

"It's a mystery with Zion. It's all about his injury health and his weight. But (when he plays) he's spectacular. Put him in New York and Adam Silver would be doing cartwheels."
