Portland Trail Blazers Shocking First Asking Price For Jrue Holiday Revealed
This past week was a wild one in the NBA, with the biggest trade of all happening when the Portland Trail Blazers traded Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics, and while it was a good return, it was nothing compared to what the team originally wanted.
Reportedly, their first desired package for the veteran point guard was between four and five first round draft picks, and after what they managed to get for Damian Lillard, it's tough to see exactly why they thought this would be a possible return for Holiday.
Holiday plays fantastic defence, he shoots the ball well and is a great leader, so it's unsurprising that the Blazers were able to get a good return for him, but after the trade market was seemingly reset this past summer, there's no doubting that they were never getting such a return for the veteran. The Blazers reportedly initially sought four or five first-round picks in the trade for Jrue Holiday, per @BostonGlobe pic.twitter.com/e40K7xh07I
