BREAKING: Troubling Medical Report Revealed on LaMelo Ball

Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball, who missed the majority of last season with a fractured ankle, has now suffered another serious injury to the ankle and will be out for an "extended time."

Per Insider Shams Charania, Ball has a serious sprain in his right ankle, but the tests, at least, did not show a repeat of the fracture that Ball suffered in the ankle last year. The fact that the X-ray detected no structural damage can be taken as positive news.

The injury came in Sunday's 130-117 loss to the Orlando Magic and once again puts the Hornets' franchise player on the shelf for some time.
He was able to play in just 36 games last season due to a number of ankle injuries, culminating with the fracture and surgery in February.

'Melo is averaging career highs this season in scoring (25.9) and assists (8.6), while shooting a personal-best 38.9% from long distance.

This is another blow to the once-vaunted Ball Brothers, as LaMelo's brother Lonzo will wind up missing two-and-a-half seasons due to ongoing knee problems.
