Milwaukee Bucks Get Brutal News on Jae Crowder

A tough break for the Milwaukee Bucks, who have announced on Monday that Jae Crowder will have to undergo abdominal surgery and will be lost to the team for two months.

The Bucks say Jae Crowder suffered a left adductor and abdominal tear in Saturday's loss in Orlando. He will undergo surgery tomorrow and be out for the next eight weeks.

Crowder suffered a left adductor and abdominal tear in Saturday's loss in Orlando, and will undergo surgery tomorrow. The eight-week timeline will keep him out until well into the new year. 

Playing a solid role off the bench, the 33-year-old had played all nine games thus far for the Bucks, and has averaged 8.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in over 26 minutes per game, while shooting a sizzling 51.6% from three-point range.

That mark from long distance had Crowder at 4th in the entire NBA to this point.  

Crowder re-signed with the Bucks this summer as a free agent, inking a one-year, $3.2M contract. He had joined Milwaukee late last season after demanding a trade from the Phoenix Suns and sitting out most of the season.
