Pistons Sign Free Agent Forward, Former No. 9 Overall Pick
He came into the league as a top prospect, being selected with the No. 9 overall pick by the New York Knicks in the 2018 NBA Draft, but hasn't been able to establish himself as an impact player in the league. Now Kevin Knox will be heading back to the team he started last season with, the Detroit Pistons.

In 21 games with Portland last year arriving from Detroit at the trade deadline, the 6'7" forward recorded 8.5 points per game - his best scoring average with one team since his rookie year with the Knicks - along with 3.3 rebounds in about 17 minutes per contest.
Knox began his career with the Knicks in 2018-19, and put up 12 points per game that season, spending three years there before they dealt him to the Atlanta Hawks. He signed with the Pistons last year, where he averaged 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in about 14 minutes a night across 42 games.
