Said at halftime, he told Vassell to warm up and be honest about his feeling and Vassell said he couldn't go. https://t.co/aOWgwD4oAC
An MRI on Friday should give the Spurs more clarity on Vassell's timeline.
In the meantime, expect Cedi Osman and Doug McDermott to get more minutes in Vassell's absence.
Vassell, 23, is in his fourth year after being selected 11th overall in the first round in 2020. He signed a five-year, $135M rookie scale extension with the Spurs just before the season. He's averaging what would be a career-high 19.4 points, along with 3.4 boards and 2.2 dimes, while shooting the long ball at 40.7%.
