Adam Silver To Meet With Ja Morant As Suspension Nearing An End
He was suspended for at least 25 games for his latest public firearms hijinx episode, now Ja Morant will be called in to meet with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver this week for a "check-in" as that 25-game mark fast approaches.
Adam Silver says he intends to check in with Ja Morant next week and says “to the best of my knowledge he’s complied with what he has to do.”

Silver and the league have been checking in regularly with Morant, and it seems, thus far, that the NBA is satisfied he's met all the conditions asked of him in order to be able to return.
“We’ve, together, laid out a program for him over the last several weeks, and to the best of my knowledge, he’s complied with everything he’s been asked to do,” Silver said. “As I said, we’ll talk at least once this week before he comes back, and we will review the program and make sure the conditions are in place for him to be successful going forward.”
Morant was caught—twice—flashing guns on social media last season. The first time, he was held out of action for eight games, and made a promise that he was reformed... Then it happened again right after the season, and the stiffer 25-game suspension was brought down.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been a broken team without Morant, and are tied for the second-worst record in the West at 6-15.
