Beal had already missed 19 games this season with a bad back and has only played six in total. The 'Big 3' in Phoenix of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Beal has been together on the court only twice through 25 games thus far.
Not that this all should be taking anyone by surprise. Beal had missed 111 games in the previous four seasons; he played just 50 last year and only 40 the season before. This year he's been out 19 plus at least another 10 more at least to be missed.
Beal has four seasons and $206M remaining on his contract (including this year), and has averaged 14.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists in his whopping total of six appearances this season with the Suns.
Phoenix is 13-12, clinging to 10th spot in the Western Conference.
