Top 3 Landing Spots For Draymond Green
Draymond Green is suspended indefinitely, and he's once again left the Golden State Warriors in a difficult situation. How he'll be welcomed back into the fold whenever his ban ends, remains to be seen.
In the meantime, trade rumors have started to surface. IF the Dubs decide to move on from Green (who is in the first year of a 4-year, $100M contract), which teams are the frontrunners to acquire him?
The oddsmakers already have a betting line on that, and it looks like this:
The Dallas Mavericks are considered the frontrunners to acquire Draymond Green should the Golden State Warriors decide to trade him, per @BovadaOfficial

1. Dallas Mavericks +210
The Mavs are the favorites, at +210. Mark Cuban has proven he doesn't have a problem taking on a problem child, as he traded for, and re-signed, Kyrie Irving this past year. In addition, they could certainly use a tough interior defender like Green, as they sit 26th in opponents points allowed in the paint.
2. Los Angeles Lakers +300
Green's name has been floated in the past as a possible fit with LeBron and Co. in LA. Green would be a perfect complement to LeBron and Anthony Davis, and provide a formidable defensive front line. And of course, the Lakers are never one to turn down the chance at getting another star.
3/4/5. Cleveland/Indiana/Sacramento +500
It's a three-way tie for 3rd, 4th, 5th, as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings are all pining to take a step up into championship contender status, and they're all one big star away. They could each use a defensive small forward like Draymond. In addition, adding another playmaker to these teams would take them to the next level.
But first, before any of this can even be considered, Green has to complete his counselling steps, and be cleared to return to the court. That will likely not happen until the calendar flips to 2024.
