Woj Reveals Draymond Green Likely Suspension Length

He’s been ejected three times this season. He’s now serving his second suspension of the campaign. But how long will Draymond Green be out of the lineup with his latest ban, which, to this point, is indefinite?

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, it will be somewhere around a dozen games. He’s missed 7 so far.

Green is allowed to condition and practice with the Warriors, but it is unlikely he returns to the team facility on a regular basis before early January, sources said,” Wojnarowski wrote. “Among those involved in this process, there’s a general belief that his suspension will cover a range of 11-to-13 games — barring any setbacks.”

That would have him returning anywhere from Jan. 5 - 10. So far, Green seems to be complying with all of the conditions set out by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, including undergoing counselling sessions for his anger and outbursts on the court.

Green was suspended this time for a blindsided roundhouse punch to the head of Jusuf Nurkic.

The Warriors are 5-2 thus far without Green in the lineup during this suspension, and 8-6 overall when he sits out .

The 4-time champion signed a new 4-year, $100M contract this past summer, and has been averaging 9.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game this year, while shooting 42.9 percent from beyond the arc.
