The trade will send Olynyk and guard Ochai Agbaji to the Raptors for Kira Lewis, Otto Porter and a 2024 first-round pick.
The Toronto-born Olynyk brings another hometown player to the Raptors, joining RJ Barrett, and adds a floor-spacing big for Toronto, to give Scottie Barnes more room to operate. The 32-year-old is averaging 8.1 points, 5.1 rebounds in 20 minutes a night, and is shooting 42.9% from long range.
Agbaji, 23, could be an intriguing add for the Raptors; the 6'5" guard was the 14th overall selection by the Jazz in the 2022 NBA draft He averaged 7.9 points per game in his rookie season, though is down to 5.4 points this year, in 19 minutes a night. He's shooting 33% from beyond the arc.
Porter has been a very limited participant in his two years in Toronto due to injuries, while Lewis is a former first-round pick that was recently obtained by the Raptors as part of the Pascal Siakam trade.
