Report: Brooklyn Nets Declined Wild Trade Offer

The Brooklyn Nets had an unlimited amount of suitors for Mikal Bridges at the trade deadline but they simply weren't interested in trading him.

Now comes word that they just might have made a huge mistake on one of those offers.

According to NBA Insider Shams Charania, the Nets turned down a trade offer from the Houston Rockets that included Jalen Green and multiple first-round picks for Bridges.

All Jalen Green has done in the month of March is average 28 points, 6 boards, and 3.5 assists while shooting 51% from the floor and 42% from long range. Never a player to shoot at any level of high efficiency, Green has taken a leap to a whole new level after having a disappointing season through February.

Green is the former no. 2 overall pick in the 2021 Draft and is now fuelling the Rockets rise in the West to contend for a playoff spot.

Bridges came to Brooklyn last season at the trade deadline and immediately established himself as a star for the future averaging 26 points for the Nets in 27 contests to finish the season. This year, he's averaging 20.5 points in 71 games and the Nets are having a thoroughly disappointing season.

Many in Brooklyn are lamenting this seemingly disastrous mistake at the deadline.
