Scottie Barnes Injury Update A Massive Blow To Raptors
In what’s been a tumultuous season for the Toronto Raptors, the final dagger would appear to be the injury suffered by Scottie Barnes Friday night, which has now been confirmed as a fractured hand.
Barnes fractured the middle finger in his left hand. Whether or not he needs surgery to repair it will more accurately determine his return timeline.
The incident occurred in the second quarter, when Barnes came flying over from the weakside trying to swat away a Jonathan Kuminga layup attempt, but ended up smacking his hand on the rim. Barnes’ screams of pain immediately foretold a serious injury .

Barnes will be out indefinitely, and his season could very well be done.
It’s been a breakthrough season for the 2022 Rookie of the Year, as he was selected to make his first All-Star Game appearance.
He sports an impressive stat line, averaging 20 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists. His three-point shooting, which started out on fire, has tailed off a bit and now sits at 34.1%.
The Raptors slim chances of catching the final play-in spot are now all but dashed.
